UTKARSH-PDKV Agri Business Incubation Centre, Dr. PDKV, Akola

UTKARSH-PDKV, Agri-Business Incubation Centre, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola established under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) is an important scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA & FW), aimed at strengthening infrastructure in agriculture and allied areas.

In order to promote agripreneurship and agribusiness by providing financial support and nurturing the incubation ecosystem, a new component under the revamped scheme RKVY- RAFTAAR has been launched in 2018-19. RKVY-RAFTAAR supports agribusiness incubation by tapping innovations and technologies for venture creation in agriculture.

The project aims at strengthening infrastructure to promote Agripreneurship and Agri-Business by providing financial support and nurturing the incubation ecosystem by tapping innovations and technologies for venture creation in agriculture and allied activities. UTAKRSH-PDKV R-ABI offers incubation space, technical and business mentoring, networking with agri-business industry, scientific and information resources, conducive and supportive environment for Agri start-ups and opportunities for availing government grant-in-aid through pre-seed stage and seed stage funding as per the guidelines of the RKVY-RAFTAAR Scheme.

UTKARSH-PDKV R-ABI promotes and elevates the agripreneurs to mentoring sessions covering business, technical, IPR management, networking and market linkages and corporate interactions including the one-on-one mentoring depending on the stage of the entrepreneurs.
